"My thoughts are silent" will be released on the HBO Europe
This autumn HBO Europe releases a feature-length film directed by Antonio Lukich and produced with the assistance of Ukrainian State Film Agency "My thoughts are silent".
According to the producers (Dmytro Sukhanov and Alla Belaya), the contract was signed in the spring, but the process of material transferring has been completed only now.
Ukrainian State Film Agency reminds you that “My thoughts are silent” was filmed in Kyiv, Uzhgorod and in the Carpathians. The state financial support of the film amounted to 8,6 million UAH with a total production cost of 9,2 million UAH.
The film was released in Ukraine on January 16, 2020 and was demonstrated on only 91 screens. However, by its fifth weekend the box office revenue amounted to almost 9,4 million UAH.
It was shown for the first time at the East of the West competition of the 2019 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic, where it got the Special Jury Prize.
In Ukraine, the film premiered at the 10th Odessa International Film Festival, where it got the FIPRESCI Prize for the Best Ukrainian Feature, Golden Duke Prize for Best Actring (Irma Vitocska-Vanza), Audience Award, and Special Mention of Andrii Lidagovskii for his role in the National Competition Program.
In 2019, the film also won the Ukrainian Film Critics Award “Kinokolo” in the categories: Discovery of the Year (Antonio Lukich) and Best Actress (Irma Vitovska-Vanza).
In 2020, the film won the National Film Award of Ukraine “Golden Dzyga” in four categories: Best Screenplay (Antonio Lukich, Valeria Kalchenko), Best Actress (Irma Vitovska-Vanza), Best Film, Discovery of the Year (Antonio Lukich).
In addition, "My thoughts are silent" is the first film in modern history to be released in Belarus in the Ukrainian language.
