The film «Golden Leggings» by Arkadii Nepytaliuk won the Best Live Action at the 39th INTERFILM - International Short Film Festival Berlin!
According to the film's plot, life has stopped between the past and the future, and in this time vacuum, the camp's inhabitants do not even realize that the country and their fates will change forever during the three days of the Golden Leggings.
August 19, 1991. Life in the children's and youth camp near Zaporizhzhia is in full swing: 14-year-old Andrii steals gifts for Iryna to express his feelings and runs away from a policeman. The tutor Taras is in love with the director, Halyna, but she is not in the mood for him right now. The head of the camp and former dissident Petrovych brings the news: there are demonstrations in Moscow, and Swan Lake has been on TV since the morning.
Iryna Mak («To Catch the Kaidash», «Numbers») and Oleg Stefan («Hutsulka Ksenya», «The Rising Hawk») have played the main roles in «Golden Leggings».
