The Ukrainian-Polish film «Shchedryk» will be available on Netflix since December 13!
The film describes the events that unfold in 1938 in Ivano-Frankivsk, at that time Stanislav. One empire is replacing another, the ruling regimes are at war, and the world around them is changing rapidly. Several families of different nationalities-Ukrainians, Poles, Germans, and Jews-lived in the same house next door. The trounled events left no chance for a happy, peaceful life for any of the adults. Thanks to Sofia, a singing teacher, the children got a chance to feel safe at least for a while. They sang together, forgetting about the terrible present and dreaming of a happy future.
The film was created by «Ama Vision» in collaboration with Stewopol with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and information support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency.
