З Днем Незалежності України!

35 років тому Україна відновила свою незалежність, підтвердивши право, за яке покоління українців боролися століттями. Від Київської Русі та козацької держави, через Українську Народну Республіку, боротьбу шістдесятників і дисидентів — до Акта проголошення незалежності 24 серпня 1991 року — українці незмінно відстоювали свободу, власну ідентичність і право бути господарями на своїй землі.

Сьогодні ця історія продовжується. Її творять мільйони українців, які захищають державу, працюють, волонтерять, навчають, лікують, творять культуру та зміцнюють Україну щодня.

Нас, як і століття тому, поєднує невидима нитка. Вона, немов стібки української вишивки, з’єднує минуле із сьогоденням, пам’ять — із майбутнім, а кожного з нас — з Україною.

Ми різні за професіями, поглядами, місцем проживання, але нас єднає головне — любов до своєї держави, відповідальність за неї та віра в її майбутнє.

Українське кіно є невід’ємною частиною цієї історії. Воно зберігає нашу пам’ять, осмислює минуле, документує сьогодення та розповідає світові про Україну, її людей, боротьбу й незламність. Кожен фільм — це ще один стібок у великому полотні нашої національної пам’яті.

У 35-ту річницю Незалежності України дякуємо кожному, хто боронить нашу державу, хто працює заради її розвитку та хто своєю щоденною працею вплітає нові стібки у спільну долю України.

Ми з тобою однієї країни. І саме цей зв’язок робить нас сильними.

We Belong to the Same Country

35 years ago, Ukraine restored its independence, reaffirming a right for which generations of Ukrainians had fought for centuries. From Kyivan Rus’ and the Cossack state, through the Ukrainian People’s Republic, the struggle of the Sixtiers and dissidents, to the Act of Declaration of Independence on 24 August 1991, Ukrainians have consistently defended their freedom, identity, and right to determine their own future.

Today, this history continues. It is being shaped by millions of Ukrainians who defend our country, work, volunteer, teach, heal, create culture, and strengthen Ukraine every day.

As centuries ago, we are connected by an invisible thread. Like the stitches of Ukrainian embroidery, it connects the past with the present, memory with the future, and each of us with Ukraine.

We may differ in our professions, views, and places of residence, but we are united by what matters most — love for our country, responsibility for its future, and faith in Ukraine.

Ukrainian cinema is an inseparable part of this history. It preserves our memory, reflects on our past, documents the present, and tells the world about Ukraine, its people, their struggle, and their resilience. Every film is another stitch in the great fabric of our national memory.

On the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence, we thank everyone who defends our country, works for its development, and, through their everyday efforts, weaves new stitches into Ukraine’s shared story.

We belong to the same country. And it is this connection that makes us strong.
